TX PSY: Last time I talked to you we were both really pissed drunk on booze and you were explaining the MUH (pronounced MOO)! How about starting over for everyone else inorder to spread the MUH properly, most everyone over here thinks my girl and I sound like some sick, twisted mad cow as we have been attempting to spread the MUH????
Stephan: HAHAHA! Top MUH? So you are our personal US-FF-MUH-Posse-Reverend! The MUH got its roots from the early 90's when some retarded FF's were totally bolloxed and not able to talk one normal word anymore. They lost their mother language cause of being 100% braindead. For every word they couldn't remember they just used the MUH! Try this: if you are too MUH to MUH one normal MUH just use the MUH. Or if you are, for example, in Japan and not able to talk this great language just MUH the MUH: Yokohama Mutu MUH Haia MUH Sushi MUH MushiMUH (understand?). The point of this MUH is that you get sick of it. I promise, when you start one time with the MUH you will never stop again. It's a disease which will MUH the people all over the world. There's a big crowd of people here in Europe MUHin' the MUH. And all the MUHers who prefer the Frantic Flintstones are 100% top FF-MUHers! And so they are members of the famous "FF-MUH-Posse"! You wanna MUH? Just MUH! And persuade us when we MUH over to the USA next time!!
TX PSY: Hey speaking of the States, when exactly are you planning on coming over? Last we talked you said around early November???
Stephan: We will definitely play 1st of November in San Francisco at the Pound on Pier 96. Some other bands like The Hangmen, Deadbolt and many others will play, too. Next year in March we will definitely play on the Macabre Festival in Southern California with many other top MUH bands! So there are loads of plans to rock yer planet!
TX PSY: Well it's good to hear someone drop a hint of the festival in San Francisco coming up in the Fall, not too much confirmation about that one yet. And the Macabre Fest as well.... looks like the States has a lot to look foward to these days.... what's going on with the new FF album?
Stephan: Well we'll be in the studio middle of September in Alan Wilson's Western Star Studios in U.K. Alan Wilson (The Sharks) is a good friend of us and he'll produce us best. We're gonna release the stuff hopefully in December. The new album will kick ass! We got 12 original FF fongs. No covers, only 100% FF!!! The songs remind me of the old days. Real fast, straight and Frantic songs. Let's say "old-school-FF-tripabilly". Spills, Chills and sounds will make it most retarded, hehehe.
TX PSY: Looks like FF have a lot to look forward to as well. An old style FF album would be a nice change from all the newer bands putting out albums as of recent. Apparently you've noticed the recent rise in interest in the Psycho genre in the States, is the European scene on the rise as well?
Stephan: Europe is the place of birth. Everything started in the U.K., then it MUHed over to all the other European countries. The scene became bigger and bigger. Everybody knows the story anyway. Now the people are a bit older and the scene is a bit smaller here. But still very strong. And the people who are still in the scene will 100% stay in the scene for the next 100 years. It has changed more and more to "family character" and that's great. Ten years ago it was quantity, now it's quality. In the States I see kind of a "boom", loads of bands coming up and more and more MUH to the Psycho scene! That's great. That's why we wanna come over! To have a party with all these Psychotic retards who can't wait to rock with the Flintstones or some other rejects. Since one or two years ago even, the scene in Europe has rose again. Many people from other scenes have changed to Psychobilly posse. Punx, skins, Oi-skins, rockers, rockabillies, etc. They realize that the Psychos are the only ones who know how to make a party! Because we give a shit on politics and we are professional in just having parties!
TX PSY: Yeah, there will be certain people that will stick to the Psycho scene forever and continue to try and create shows and put together bands, throw parties, festivals and so forth, but for the most part Psychobilly's "boom" in the States is sorta taking the trendy route. Which is creating a rather large scene.....well larger than compared to the past. Hopefully the major labels won't sniff around too hard and turn Psycho into some suburban monster movement (so to speak).... How mainstream has Psycho been in the past/present in Europe? Would FF take a big contract deal?
Stephan: In the 90's it got more and more commercial. Loads of people came up and labels tried their luck. But finally it is what it is: Psychobilly! And only the real Psychotic rejects stay in the scene even after years of listening to nearly always the same music. It's the same with Punk, Rockabilly, Ska, etc. These styles may rise up and get commercial (they did!) but they all came back on Earth and went back in the underground. The FF got loads of offers from big companies but we didn't do it yet cause we want to be independent. We wanna tour when we wanna tour and we wanna write new songs when we are in the right MUH! But you never know. If the right people come around maybe we would do it. It depends on the way of MUHin'.
TX PSY: Earlier this year you told me that you guys didn't and wouldn't play more than three shows in a row because FF get too shit faced drunk and because you are all just "old rock n' rollers" and it makes you guys tired.... did I remember that correctly? If so, this is what I think FF should do: become the true label of a rock n' roller and start a bad drug habit, get going on that for awhile and book a good long tour here in the States.... the drugs should help keep you going.. How does that sound (laughing)?
Stephan: Old Rock n' Rollers??? I never said that!!! I just said after three days we get so fuckin' bolloxed that we are too fucked. That's nothing to do with the age but with the strength of doing things! Besides - we are true R n' Rers! We play the whole fuckin' year around the World. We wouldn't do that if we would be tired of anything. We love to be on stage and to blast yer brains!!!!! If anybody wants to organize a two-weeks tour in the States for us--Do It! We are prepared! To play in Japan, USA or South America would be a pleasure for us! For that we would be serious.... hehehe. OH, drugs? We don't take drugs! We stay healthy with gymnastics, sports and fresh fruits [in other words] (SEX)!
TX PSY: Excellent clarification, now that sounds more like FF... Definitely misunderstood what you had said, all the respect and understanding is back in its rightful position. Cause if you say you feel old, I start thinking about being old, then start feeling old and that makes me confused and I become tired myself.
Stephan: YOYODATT! Good to know you feel younger now again. A tip: If you feel tired - listen to FF! Yep, it helps always.
TX PSY: Anyways, now let's get serious...what kinda food are FF eating, what's your favorite plate?
Stephan: You really want to know what we eat? HAHA! Okay - I'll let you know in a special way: Top of the tops is MUH with MUH. But we also love MUH, MUH, MUH and sometimes also MUH with MUH. But my fav is MUH! Try it, its so MUUUUUHH!
TX PSY: That sounds like some of the "Worst Wurst" I've ever heard of...Now, more importantly what is your favorite beer or drink (alcohol of course)?
Stephan: With the drinks it's much easier - Gin and Tonic, Whiskey in all it's MUHs, etc, etc. Yeah - we drink everything. German beer for breakfast! Try it! Bitburger, Flensburger, Warsteiner, all good ole German beer! That makes me thirsty! Where's the beers?
TX PSY: Stephan, thanks for the words...this just goes to show that it takes years of personal education and experience to become truly retarded!
